What do you like to do when not working with the Volvo Ocean Race?
I like to do different sports, anything that involves high intensity. I also study Japanese as I absolutely love this country.

What is your greatest achievement?
I was a sports psychologist in the 2016 Olympic Games and helped develop the performance of athletes and managers.

Favourite quote?
Live on the edge

Who inspires you?
Anyone who is courageous enough to undertake a project that may be considered risky. Those people never look back.

What was the best advice you were ever given?
Someone once taught me that you are always able to say no and I think that is an important point.

If you could wake up tomorrow in the body of someone else, who would you pick and what would you do?
Be Felix Baumgartner. When he steps off into open air it must be the most extraordinary feeling.

What makes you happy/angry?
The best feeling is to see my daughter grow up. I also love spending time with my family and friends, talking about everything and nothing at the same time. What makes me angry? It has to be lack of professionalism and incompetency.

Tell us something about yourself that we didn’t know?
I love Opera (and no, not the french cake for any French people that read this). I am also working on a PhD.
