If you aren't already you need to be watching the Volvo Ocean Race LIVE tracker right now but please be warned, it is nail-biting! There is just 10 nautical miles separating the front five boats as they race for Auckland, and for Dongfeng Race Team and MAPFRE, who have been match-racing from the get go in Hong Kong, there is barely a boat length between them.
Dongfeng are currently in fifth place and after 6,100 nautical miles, they will be giving everything they’ve got to pip MAPFRE to the post into Auckland.
We are not the only one’s fighting tooth and nail all the way to the finish line, with current leaders AkzoNobel fighting hard to fend off Scallywag who are just 1 nautical mile behind. This could be one of the closest finishes in the history of the Volvo Ocean Race, so whether you choose to sit back and cross your fingers or scream and shout at your laptop, enjoy this unbelievable ending to Leg 6.
